Event Details
Come learn and express yourself in a series of workshops from Slowfire Oak Park designed to spark memory and spur narrative. You're invited to attend any or all sessions. See the schedule below to register for each session.
July 6: Narrative Collage
This activity allows you to rebuild a memory through a new found perspective! You can take a creative or literal approach in recreating a personal photograph using glue, paper, and other drawing/painting materials. The goal of this activity is to challenge yourself to take something real and concrete and transform it into something creative and imaginative. In addition, the piece will hold sentimental value since it is coming from a place of nostalgia.
*** Note, please bring a few personal photographs that you would like to recreate!
Please register for any or all events in the series:
July 13: Mixed Media Story Quilts
July 20: Watercolor Landscape
July 27: Abstract Fauvist Paintings
