Event Details
Explore and honor Indigenous culture through cooking, story, and art. This is a hands-on cooking workshop, devoted to an Indigenous recipe that uses corn, squash, beans, and herbs. Listen to a story written by an Indigenous author, prepare a traditional Native American meal using vegetables and herbs provided for you, and plant seeds to celebrate and honor Native American traditions.
Adult Supervision is necessary, as participants will be chopping and cooking food.
After you register, please plan to pick up a bag of materials from the Children's Services Desk on the first floor of the Main Library. Bags will be available Friday, November 19, 9 am-6 pm; Saturday, November 20, 9 am-5 pm; and Sunday before the workshop, 12-2:30 pm.
