Rhonda Sherrod, J.D., Ph.D., is a Harvard trained clinical and community psychologist, educator, lawyer, and Maywood native. All are invited to join us as she presents a talk about her first book, Surviving, Healing, and Evolving: Essays of Love, Compassion, Healing, and Affirmation for Black People. The book addresses Dr. Sherrod’s personal trauma background and traumas experienced by many Black women and girls, as well as the trauma Black people endure as a collective community.
