Program Description
Event Details
A Sibshop is a chance for kids who have a disabled sibling to come together, talk about their experiences, and play games! This class will use picture books to start age appropriate discussions. Caregivers are welcome to stay if the child wishes. All conversations will be child-led, with minimal caregiver intervention. A class for siblings age 8-12 will be on Saturday, November 8.
This class is run by Miss Shelley, who has a disabled brother and is a trained Sibshop facilitator, and Miss Whitney, a preschool teacher and trained Sibshop facilitator. Shelley has been leading Sibshops for more than 25 years! Email Shelley with questions: shelleyh@oppl.org
