Roy Kinsey (Live Performance) and DJ St Sinclaire
The "Rapbrary" experience opens with a live performance by Roy Kinsey, Chicago-based rapper, librarian, and cultural worker, featuring selections primarily from Blackie, marking a return to the work that helped shape Rapbrary’s origin story. Following the performance, DJ St Sinclaire sets the tone for a celebratory opening night as the community explores Deangelo’s World for the first time.
Spanning the full duration of the exhibition, Deangelo’s World invites visitors into the interior life of a sensitive, creative Black child inspired by Deangelo and the Dandelion.
This program was brought to the Oak Park community through a partnership between: The Oak Park Public Library, The Village of Oak Park, The Oak Park Township and The Oak Park & River Forest Community Foundation.
