Meeting/Event Description
The Oak Park Meditation Group is open to all who want to learn and practice meditation together. Meditation practice provides a warm genuine basis for realizing the full potential of our inherent wisdom and compassion. Through meditation, we cultivate our capacity to live with engaged, open hearts and minds. Waking up to our own inherent goodness has a natural impact on our family, friends, co-workers and our world at large. Each session begins with a brief stretch drawn from Yoga or Qigong, followed by meditation instruction, sitting and walking meditation, reading and discussion. We meet in person at the Oak Park Public Library Maze Branch on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month and on Zoom on alternate Mondays, from 6 – 8pm.
