this meeting is a round table for mental health care providers to discuss the difficulties they have had with health insurance panels in terms of rates, clawbacks, pre-authorizations, limitations, transparency, etc. that has affected their ability to be on multiple panels and to be able to provide accessible care in preparation for an upcoming Illinois Mental Health Parity bill that has been floating around the Illinois Assembly for the past year. Our hope is to gather information from providers to be able to offer a focused set of needs and asks for them to be able to provide more accessible care to Illinois residents. We will be giving summaries of our discussion to the People's Lobby Health Task Force in order to aid them in advocating for the passage of this bill in the Illinois Assembly this fall.
