Countering Disinformation in Digital Spaces Workshop

Led by Lisa Hoelschler, BA, U of MN; BS, U of MN;  MA, U of IL presenter at ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) and a Google Certified Educator during a career in a diverse Cook County secondary school.

Content moderation is not enough; learn the major categories of disinformation; the important psychological underpinnings that motivate people to become susceptible to disinformation; some relevant research conclusions regarding disinformation; and the processes fact-finders and researchers use to debunk disinformation which you can also use.

*This Workshop will be interactive, so please bring something to write with as well as a fully charged phone or tablet.
