Description of Meeting/Event
Gentle Movement Sampler for Older Adults is an inviting, try-it-out session for anyone curious about easy, nourishing ways to move. Together, we’ll explore short, guided experiences from Tai Chi, Qigong, Chair Yoga, and Qoya—each offering a different flavor of gentle movement, breath, balance, and self-awareness.
This is not a workout and not a class you have to “get right.” It’s a chance to notice how your body feels when you move slowly and kindly. You’re welcome to participate standing or seated, and every movement can be adapted to your comfort level. No experience is needed—just curiosity.
Offered by the AWN-Programs Working Group (facilitators Catherine Gallogly and Catherine Marienau), this experiential session invites you to sample several approaches to movement in one relaxed, supportive space. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and discover what feels good to you. You may leave with a new favorite way to care for your body—or simply a deeper sense of ease and connection.
