Have you ever wanted a way to let people see your creativity, express your thought? This two-part workshop will teach you how to make your own zines and chapbooks; providing examples of various types of style, construction, and content you can focus on as a creator; and, how technology can assist with self-publishing endeavors.
This first workshop on April 2 will discuss what can be done with zines/chapbooks from a historical, political, philosophical, and literary perspective. Patrons will also begin the outlining process for their own digital zine/chapbook. For the second part of the workshop on April 9, participants will walk away with the beginnings of a zine (or a complete one if they work quickly!) in either digital or traditional form, and a greater understanding of how they can express themselves creatively and/or affect change through self-publishing.
Registration for the second workshop will open after the first workshop has ended and will be limited to those who attended the first workshop.
The Creative Studio is located on the third floor of the Main Library.
