In celebration and spirit of her art exhibit, Flowers for People, Benz Amataya, will lead a hands on abstract painting workshop exploring healing through self expression. The participants will be invited to hold one person in their heart and paint abstract flowers for that particular person.
The workshop will start with a small introduction circle so that the participants can get to know each other and share about the person they are painting for (sharing is optional). Then the participants will be led through a warm-up painting exercise, followed by 25-30 minutes of uninterrupted painting time. The workshop will conclude with a sharing session, where the participants can share their paintings and reflect on the process with each other (sharing is optional).
