Program Description

Event Details

Learn bookbinding skills with artist Regin Igloria of North Branch Projects. In a comfortable and welcoming setting, participants will learn basic bookbinding techniques using recycled and repurposed materials. A single-sheet zine fold and variations on the pamphlet stitch will be covered, and participants will come away with a small collection of blank hand-bound books. All materials will be provided.

Funded by the Illinois State Library grant "A Library for All," this program is one in a series that celebrates artists of color through a spring partnership between the library and Compound Yellow, an independent, multi-functional artist-run space and residency in Oak Park.
