Friends of the Oak Park Public Library

Please consider donating your gently used books to the Friends of the Oak Park Public Library as their volunteers prepare for the 2025 Annual Book Fair to be held July 11-13 at the Main Library.
- Accepted: Books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and games
- Not accepted: Magazines, textbooks, Reader’s Digest back issues, records, and VHS tapes
Carry-in donations: May 31-June 28, during Main Library open hours
Carry-in donations are accepted in the Main Library Lobby Community Space.
In the Open Books bin: June 1-30, anytime
All June, donations to the Open Books bin will be shared with the Friends for sale at the fair (with Open Books permission).
Drive-up donations: Saturdays only, May 31-June 28, 9 am-3 pm
Drive-up and drop-off donations are accepted at the Main Library loading dock (in the west alley between the library and First United Methodist Church).
To keep traffic moving, drivers are asked to enter from North Grove Avenue and to exit onto Lake Street.
Volunteers will be on hand to help unload vehicles at the loading dock.
