Event Details
Meet the artist Bethany Cordero, whose work is on display in the Main Library Gallery through August 20.
Using traditional metalworking and fiber arts techniques, VESSELS—an exhibition of new work by Bethany Cordero— explores the formalistic tensions produced through precise manipulation and interweaving of metal and fabric. Equally referential and abstract, these new objects serve as containers for space, composition, and the inherent congruency and contradictions of craft and art.
About the artist
Bethany Cordero (b. Covington, Ky.) is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Bethany lives and works in Oak Park.
