Take a writing workshop with poet Maya Marshall! This space is open to all who identify as women, girls, and nonbinary and will not center the experiences of cisgendered males.
Stay after the workshop at 5 pm to hear Maya Marshall read from her new book, All the Blood Involved in Love, an urgent and evocative collection about reproductive justice, contemporary politics, Blackness, and the stakes of race and interracial partnership, queerness, and love.
About the instructor
Maya Marshall is the author of the full-length poetry collection All the Blood Involved in Love (Haymarket Books, 2022) and the chapbook Secondhand (Dancing Girl Press, 2016). Marshall teaches at Emory University where she serves as the 2021-2023 Creative Writing Fellow in Poetry. She has also served as artist in residence at Northwestern University and as faculty for Loyola University Chicago.
