Program Description

Event Details

Planning a funeral can be daunting, but for nearly everyone, it is inevitable! This event will create a welcoming space where guests can learn about a vibrant spectrum of memorial services and consider what would be best for themselves. They'll be encouraged to contemplate wishes for their end-of-life ceremony and will leave with practical knowledge of how to put these wishes into realized plans.

Through this workshop you will learn:

  • A wide array of approaches to funerals and memorial services
  • Locate the key factors to consider when planning your funeral: people, place, and meaning
  • Explore different ways to make yours or your loved ones' sincere and significant
  • Become familiar with the type of paperwork and communication necessary for these plans to be put into action

Many people are curious about end-of-life decisions but don't know where or who to talk to about these important matters. By offering a warm and welcoming community space where you can help decipher your own wishes and access healthy ways to communicate your funeral wishes to your loved ones, we can better support and respect each other's choices.
