Sankofa, from the Twi language of Ghana, means “to go back and retrieve.” We call on our ancestors as we go back to our African roots, to bring forth all the greatness of our past and manifest it in our future! Join us to celebrate Black excellence and amplify Black voices through music, dance, and artistic expressions—with performances by the Snake Doctors, Kuumba Kids Dance, Keli Stewart and Sydney Jackson, Just Cause Dancers, and Uneq'ka.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Main Library Veterans Room.
