Program Description

Event Details

Caregivers often want to know what they can do to help their children reach developmental milestones of reading readiness. Learn about the seven ways to build early literacy skills, how to support children to become readers for the fun of it, and what the library can offer families on this journey.

To explore this topic in depth, Shelley recommends Bringing Up Bookmonsters: The Joyful Way to Turn Your Child into a Fearless, Ravenous Reader by Amber Ankowski, PhD and Andy Ankowski.

In partnership with First United Nursery School and the Collaboration for Early Childhood. Childcare will be provided in the Storytime Room by the Collaboration.

This presentation will be presented in person and online via Zoom.
