No need to wait on the red carpet—come to our 15th Annual Oscarthon movie marathon! All day at the Main Library, we'll have popcorn, raffle prizes, and Oscar-nominated films from the past year. This year's movie lineup:
Wicked, 9:30 am-12:10 pm
Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Galinda, a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads (PG-13 | 2hr 40 min).
A Real Pain, 12:30-2 pm
Mismatched cousins reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother, but their old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history (R | 1hr 30 min).
The Wild Robot, 2:15-4 pm
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island's animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose (PG-13 | 1hr 42 min).
