About Joyce K Porter
Joyce K Porter is a Professor Emeritus, who has taught theater, film, humanities, and speech. She took early retirement to focus on acting full-time. She has acted in over 60 films and some TV shows, commercials, and voiceovers as Joyce Porter. She has always enjoyed writing and has been a stringer for a newspaper, and honored for her letters to the editor. She wrote the textbooks Humanities on the Go and Experiences the Arts and contributed to The Scientific Approach to Improvisation by Les Golden. This is her first book for the general public. It was inspired by her first-hand experiences with the pleasures and challenges of being a senior. She dealt with many challenges as she helped her late husband deal with numerous medical problems and settings, dealt with loss without adequate guidance, and hoped to give some of that guidance to others. She also wanted to encourage seniors to make the most of their opportunities. Learn more about the author »
