Starring Janelle Monae, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia, and other award-winning actors, "Hidden Figures" is based on the nonfiction book by Margot Lee Shetterly about three black women who entered the space program as mathematicians who worked at NASA during the Space Race. The film was chosen by the National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2016 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture.
This film screening is part of a series celebrating Women's History Month. Our library recognizes heritage months, including March as Women's History Month.
