Have you ever wondered what it means to lead with resilience, compassion, and authenticity? Lesbians in Local Leadership (LLL) is a vibrant new event series spotlighting the power and presence of lesbian leaders shaping our community—and the young people ready to follow in their footsteps.
Born from a moving conversation with a junior high student who had never met another lesbian before, this initiative is about representation, visibility, and inspiration. At a time when non-patriarchal leadership and community care are more vital than ever, we’re lifting up the voices of lesbians who are making change in Oak Park, Chicago, and beyond.
What to Expect:
- Live Panel Conversations featuring local lesbian leaders from across sectors—education, activism, business, and beyond
- Youth-Led Journalism where young people serve as interviewers, storytellers, and bridge-builders across generations
From the front lines of mutual aid and LGBTQ+ rights to leadership in civil rights and healthcare access, lesbians have long been at the heart of our most powerful movements. This series is an invitation to learn, connect, and be seen.
Whether you're a young person seeking role models, a parent or teacher wanting to support inclusive spaces, or a neighbor who believes in collective care—you belong in this conversation.
Come celebrate, listen, and lead with us.
This program is facilitated in partnership with Solidora.
