Federico Garcia Lorca Poetry

Please join in for an hour-long presentation on the life and creative work of the beloved Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. 

Lorca was deeply influenced by the Spanish folk arts in all genres, but especially by music, songs, and storytelling. In a career that spanned only 19 years, the poet revitalized Spanish poetry and theater by creatively blending artistic traditions with Modernist tendencies. Lorca is acclaimed primarily for his poetic works' lyrical and imaginative quality.
