In August we will discuss Diamond Solitaire by Peter Lovesey, published 1992.  This is the second book in this best-selling Peter Diamond series.  A former police detective in Bath, England, Diamond has been reduced to a security guard at Harrold’s.  He is fired from that job when he finds an abandoned, little Japanese girl in the store after hours. He devotes himself to tracking down her family and finding out why she was abandoned.

Detection by Daylight is a book group that meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 12 pm. We discuss detective mystery stories, often the first book of a series and sometimes standalone books.  The group has been running since 2011 and always meets at the Maze library.

Attention Newcomers:  We are hoping to meet in person at the Maze branch, but please e-mail Jay Cohen at jaycohenoppl@gmail.com before you come.  He will let you know if the meeting has moved to Zoom and if so, he will send you the link to the meeting.  All are welcome to join us wherever we are
