Meeting/Event Description

Come join us as we celebrate the diversity of Palestinian Culture!

Activities will include:

  • Tatreez Workshop led by Haneen Awadalla, sharing the artistry and craft of Palestinian embroidery Learn how to make a tatreez project
  • Dabke Dance Workshop led by Wafaa Alwawi and OPRF students. Come learn this traditional Palestinian circle dance and line dance, accompanied by Palestinian drumming
  • Palestinian Mural and Sacred Respect Flag making with Lavie Raven for High School students
  • Palestinian Arts Project for Children led by Haj Herbert
  • Film screening of The Present BAFTA-winning and Oscar nominated short film about life in the West Bank
  • Spoken Word Poetry, by OPRF students
