Program Description

Event Details

Join us in a two-part series oriented around Alzheimer’s disease and dementia caregiver support, presented by a representative from Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

Caregiver Workshop: Resiliency & Coping Strategies for Dementia Caregivers: Part 2 is designed to increase awareness about the situation dementia caregivers in the U.S. face. All caregivers, family members, and loved ones are encouraged to attend. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.

  • Develop a repertoire of skills for resiliency, self-care, and coping when caring for someone with dementia.
  • Learn how dementia caregiver stress can impact health and lead to depression and anxiety.
  • Strategies will be introduced for building resiliency that help preserve and restore emotional and physical health while navigating the uncertainty of dementia caregiving.

Join us for Part 1 of the series: Dementia 101 on June 16.
