This event has been cancelled. You are invited to a discussion with artists Jon Veal and Jordan Campbell, the collaborators of alt_, pronounced alt space, an artist-led, Chicago-based non-profit focused on neighborhood revitalization through arts and culture. Veal and Campbell will discuss their special exhibit—in the Main Library's Gallery—To Part a Sea, on view for the month of April, as well as their work at alt_. An audience Q&A will follow. Light refreshments will be served.

Funded by the Illinois State Library grant "A Library for All," this program is one in a series that celebrates artists of color through a spring partnership between the library and Compound Yellow, an independent, multi-functional artist-run space and residency in Oak Park.

About the artists & Compound Yellow
Veal and Campbell are the spring artists-in-residence at Compound Yellow, an independent, multi-functional artist-run space and residency in Oak Park. Visit their exhibition in April and May at Compound Yellow's location on 244 Lake Street.
