From the artist
"The grid comprises a new and ongoing body of work for me, which bridges abstraction and representational elements in my paintings. I also make use of collage in my work. I configure, borrow, and combine elements from my previous work and incorporate it into new paintings.

Often, one grid inspires other work as in my 'Studio Grid' series. The paintings in this series share a dialogue as they relate to and build from one painting to the next. The elements of the symbols, marks, texture, color, and surface coalesce to form these paintings. As with all my work, I endeavor to develop a personal visual language that is palpable to the viewer."
