Program Description

Event Details

Birds are life. They are integral to our ecosystems and dependent upon them. Casey uses recycled materials and hopes to inspire others to find creative ways to recycle and repurpose materials. Casey hopes the magic of birds will help brighten the viewer's days as well as help raise awareness about the importance of environmental issues. Casey is inspired by outsider artists, folk art, and hiking in the forest preserves and National Park.

Casey lives mostly in her own head. Casey's birds have been shown at Uri Eichen Gallery, and at College of Lake County Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art, where she won an "honorable mention" for her Red Headed Woodpecker in the 2022 'Recent Works' exhibition. Casey is an outsider artist. She is self-taught and is deeply inspired by folk art and outsiders from all over.
