Meeting/Event Description

The American Friends Service Committee board has recently approved a new program called "Our North Star: a vision for community safety beyond prisons and policing." They offered to give Oak Park Friends Meeting a virtual presentation of this new social justice program. It will present information; there will be no fundraising or proselytizing. American Friends Service Committee is a national nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation (tax ID number 23-1352010). Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend, but it is intended as an educational presentation of a new social justice program to local Quakers.
