Program Description

Event Details

Learn how to use TinkerCAD.com, a free browser-based computer aided design software, to create a windup toy that will fit a windup toy mechanism.  We will go over the design concepts inherent in creating objects for successful 3D printing.  Then we will submit the finished projects to be printed on the library's 3D printers.

The example project will be a windup toy.  The library will provide the interior mechanisms for this object.

In order to maximize our time for learning and design, please register for a free TinkerCAD.com account prior to attending the workshop. If you have not already done so, please attend the 6:00pm 3D Design Beginner Workshop: TinkerCAD Basics class first or do the tutorials on TinkerCAD.com on your own.

This Intermediate-level workshop expects participants to know the basics of resizing objects, using grouping, and manipulating 3D objects in a 3D space using TinkerCAD.
